Aramid fiber is a new type of composite material. What is aramid fiber?
The main chain of the polymer macromolecule of aramid fiber is composed of aromatic ring and amide bond. At least 85% of the amide group is directly bonded to the aromatic ring. The amide group of each repeating unit is A polymer in which the nitrogen atom is directly connected to the carbon atom in the aromatic ring and replaces one of the hydrogen atoms is called an aromatic polyamide resin. Fibers spun from aromatic polyamide resins are called aramid fibers, also known as aramid fibers.
Aramid fiber is the polyaramid fiber that is widely used in industrial production. The most common application in composite materials is polyparaphenylene terephthalamide fiber.
