Carbon fiber veil has excellent mechanical properties and chemical stability, low density, high strength, and has the highest specific strength and highest specific modulus among the high-performance fibers that have been mass-produced. Carbon fiber veil is a composite material whose reinforcement is carbon fiber. Carbon fiber veil can be classified in many ways
(1) Classified according to the type of raw silk: polyacrylonitrile (PAN)-based carbon fiber, pitch-based carbon fiber and viscose silk carbon fiber. Among them, high-performance carbon fibers made of PAN fiber precursors account for more than 90% of the global carbon fiber market due to its simple production industry and excellent carbon fiber properties.
(2) According to tow size classification: small tow (aerospace grade) and large tow (industrial grade). Among them, the large tow (industrial grade) is mainly used in the civilian field, and the small tow (aerospace grade) is mainly used in the defense industry and high-tech and sports leisure products.
(3) Classified by performance: general-purpose carbon fiber and high-performance carbon fiber.
