Carbon Fiber Tape

Carbon fiber woven tape is carbon fiber reinforcement material which has been woven or stitched at a specified narrow width and then edge stitched to provide a woven tape that can be used for localised reinforcement and seam taping of carbon fiber and composite products.

Carbon fiber woven tape is usually manufactured in 3K weave fabric, plain or twill. These tapes have been treated with an epoxy finish to provide optimum adhesion between the fiber surface and the resin. A great alternative to cutting small widths of woven fabric that unravel when bonded to the substrate.  

Carbon fiber woven tapes are recommended as a reinforcement where stiffness in the 0/90 direction is required. Carbon tapes exhibit the same properties as woven carbon fiber fabrics.
